Zorthian Ranch - Altadena Wedding
I received the call from Jon while I was at a wedding photographer conference (WPPI), to see if I could help with their wedding, that I misheard was in a few months - no, it was at the end of the week! With little time to spare, we got right into the details of their wedding. Jon & Jenny are both creatives, Jon is an architect & Jenny is a fashion designer with her own label (Jeri Malone) and they wanted a hip but relaxed wedding with their closest family & friends. They chose the Zorthian Ranch, which is known for having llamas and is a little offbeat artist community built by a local Altadena artist. It's very quaint, you drive all the way up the mountains from Pasadena, and then you can oversee all of Los Angeles. Their wedding had a little bit of spring rain, but a little rain on a wedding day is really great luck!
Let's check out their fashion meets offbeat artist wedding at the artist colony, Zorthian Ranch!
Jenny's dress is from Jeri Malone, her amazing flatform sandals are from See by Chloé & I absolutely love her Yves Saint-Laurent Lipstick!
Good friend & florist, Rebecca Ryvola-Marez was able to custom make Jon's boutineere on site, it was really beautiful watching her process.
I love the tradition of sticking a penny in your shoe for good luck, this was done by their coordinator, Special Events Genie. Also - Jenny's abstract art & gold sparkles manicure?!? Nail art GOALS.
I love these family photos with Jenny's family - the youngest (nephew) & oldest (grandma)! Jenny & Jon opted for having no bridal party, but still wanted all their friends involved- this group picture is so full of love!
Catering was done by Social Paella - they had Seafood & Vegetarian options, amazing paella!!
Jenny homemade their pie for the pie cutting - I think Jon was really happy about that!
Mazel Tov to Jenny & Jon!
